Overview

Budgo is a personal budgeting app built by TARS Technologies LLC. It helps you track income, expenses, budgets, and projects. Your data is yours. Budgo does not run ads, track you across apps or websites, or collect your budgeting data on our servers.

Data We Collect

Budgo stores only the data you choose to enter in the app, on your device, such as:

• Salary amount and pay frequency
• Income entries and categories
• Expense entries, categories, payment methods, and notes
• Budgets, budget limits, and time periods
• Projects, project expenses, and wishlist items (including links and estimates)
• Bank accounts you add for income tracking
• Reminder preferences and recurring transaction settings
• JSON files you export from the app (stored where you choose)

If iCloud sync is enabled, the same data is stored in your iCloud account under your Apple ID so it can sync across your devices. Budgo does not have access to your iCloud data.

How We Use Data

Your data is processed locally by the app to provide core functionality, including:

• Calculating totals and summaries
• Showing budgets, categories, and activity
• Powering search and filters
• Syncing across your devices with iCloud
• Delivering reminders you have enabled
• Exporting your data as a JSON file at your request

Sharing

Budgo does not share or sell your data to third parties, and we do not receive your budgeting data. Your data is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account. If you export a JSON file, it leaves the app only when you choose to save or share it. We may disclose information only if required to comply with applicable law.

Third-Party Services

Budgo uses Apple iCloud/CloudKit for optional data sync. This data lives in your iCloud account, and Budgo does not access it. Apple’s processing of data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Budgo does not integrate advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device and in iCloud as long as you keep it. You can delete individual items at any time inside the app. When iCloud sync is enabled, deletions are synced across devices.

Security

Budgo relies on Apple’s iOS and iCloud security protections. Data synced through iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. Access is controlled by your Apple ID. Budgo does not operate its own servers for your budgeting data.

Your Choices & Rights

You can:

• Access, edit, and delete your data within the app
• Disable iCloud sync in iOS settings
• Turn reminders on or off in iOS settings

Children’s Privacy

Budgo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Transfers

If iCloud sync is enabled, your data may be processed and stored by Apple in the United States and other countries. Apple’s privacy practices apply.

App Tracking Transparency

Budgo does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not use advertising identifiers. As a result, we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

Push Notifications

Budgo uses local notifications for reminders you set (such as prompting you to add transactions). You can disable notifications at any time in iOS settings.
